Aftercare Instructions

  • Leave your bandage on for a minimum of 3 days and no longer than 7 days. Most people are healed by day 5 so we strongly recommend leaving it on until then.

  • Your bandage will fill up with fluid, this is normal.

  • Do not re-bandage

THINGS TO AVOID:

  • Do not touch your tattoo with unwashed hands.

  • Do not scratch, pick, peel, slap, rub, or irritate your tattoo.

  • Clean water while washing is good for a healing tattoo. Lake, river, ocean, chemical treated, or shared water are not good for a healing tattoo.

  • Do not expose your tattoo to the sun for at least a week. After it is healed, you may use sunscreen on your tattoo.

IF YOUR BANDAGE HAS COME OFF OR BEEN REMOVED IN UNDER 5 DAYS:

  • ALWAYS wash your hands before touching your tattoo!

  • Always wash your tattoo in hot water. Bath or showers are both acceptable, although a bath may be more effective. Allow your tattoo to soak in the hot water for ten to fifteen minuets, (this naturally opens the pores for a non-abrasive and thorough cleaning) before washing with an anti-bacterial liquid soap. Be gentle and do not use a washcloth or anything that will exfoliate your tattoo. Only use your clean hands.

  • Gently pat your tattoo dry with a clean cloth or paper towel. Do not rub, or use a fabric with a rough surface.

  • Moisturize as needed with any fragrance free moisturizer. Always use clean hands when you moisturize.

  • DO NOT use Vaseline, Neosporin, or any medicated or scented ointment.

  • Peeling of the top layer of skin is normal. Do not pick at the skin or scratch it. Moisturizing and washing will both help to relieve itching.
